Flutter-by baby

There is something about butterflies which seem to make them appear as magical, charmed and fascinating creatures. Is it merely their beauty or something about how a caterpillar is transformed dramatically into a butterfly? Becky says it so well about her little butterfly that there is little else I can add but give a link to her post.
Hope I can provide the right kind of cocoon to my butterflies before they flutter by.

Once upon a time, I had a friend whom I met online. Our children shared a date of birth. Our children's lives were dramatically different, for hers lived and mine did not. Through the years, I've been neglectful in keeping in touch, but every now and again, she pops into my head and I look for her e-mail address to drop her a note. Little did I know, when I last looked for her address, that I would discover something about her that I did not know, what an excellent writer she is. And, again, I discovered another commonality (except I can't seem to find the time to put words to screen.)

Hey Stacy!

I'm just too overwhelmed ... wow! to think you found me HERE!

Yes, you keep popping into my head every now and then too- each time I look at my cherub and thank God for blessings, I also send up prayers for all those whose Cherubs are not with them. Each time I look into those wondrous eyes, I see all the other cherubs who aren't there with their moms.
As for writing, I'll always remember what YOU wrote- and with so much feeling!

Thank you my friend for looking me up- I'm honoured.

Caterprillar transforming to butterfly has given me hopes for my son. He seems to be just not intrested in anyting related to reading and writing.

How interesting that I have been thinking of butterflies lately. I even intend to plant a butterfly bush in my gareden to attract them. I will check out the link, for if you like it, then I know that I will also.

Ciao chica...be well. ;)

Dear Shankari,
This post is timely for me too, since I recently bought a butterfly bush to plant in my yard. Now you've inspired me to get off my duff and get it planted!

Hugs,
Betty

Dear Teri and Betty,

I do not know what a butterfly bush is! As a child we knew that most caterpillars grubbed on citrusy leaves and that flower bearing plants had butterflies (among others) hovering over them. Wonder what a butterfly bush is? But wishing you both all the best with your bushes.

You guys inspire me- maybe I need to attract more of those colourful ephemeral butterflies in my garden too...

Hi Ganga

The quote reiterates the point (painful or pleasant as it may be) that the hard work be done at the caterpillar stage! Hope all our butterflies get the due credits...
